SCABS Amber Spring Ale [PDF]

10 lbs of Maris Otter.
.5 lb of 40L Crystal.
1 lb of Munich.
3 lbs of Brewers Choice.
Brewer can use up to 3 lbs of any malt or adjuncts including malts from the base.
4oz of Any Hops Max.
Any level of Alpha or type of hops allowed. Less than 4 oz can be used.
Any Water Profile allowed.
Any Ale Yeast allowed.

 

Recipe can be scaled to match whatever batch size you desire.
Beer will be brought to the May Meeting for Club tasting. Notes on your beer are highly recommended so everyone can compare.

Rough guidelines for Amber Ale:
OG: 1.045 – 1.060
IBUs: 25 – 40
FG: 1.010 – 1.015
SRM: 10 – 17
ABV: 4.5 – 6.2%
